The high frequencies and the ambiance are nicer in the cottage recording. It's a mostly-pine room? Was the pine stained? (looks more like a colonial maple to me, in hue). Hard wood is thought to be better than soft wood, and definitely is in certain situations typically involving less "clothing". r0k Wow, it’s definitely a difference.
